Community Leadership Development Class 13 Now Accepting Applications for Students and Host Cities - Deadline Extended to This Friday

OML’s Community Leadership Development (CLD) program is currently accepting applications for both class members and host cities for the upcoming Class 13.

Community Leadership Development (CLD) preserves and enhances training and educational opportunities for municipal officials and community leaders. The focus of the program is to equip the participants with the leadership skills and knowledge they need to make a positive impact on their local communities.

During the CLD program, class members will meet for a total of six times in towns and cities across the state. At each class meeting, participants will interact with the host community as well as gain important leadership skills in a fun, hands on learning environment.

“Our partnership with the Oklahoma Municipal League underscores our ongoing commitment to partnering with cities and towns across Oklahoma,” said Robbie Squires, director of government affairs for Cox. “We believe strong collaboration with local leaders is essential to building connected, resilient communities, and OML provides a vital platform for that engagement. Through this partnership, we look forward to supporting municipal innovation and driving progress for all Oklahomans.” More Information

New Regional Council Meetings Scheduled

We have scheduled the next round of OML Regional Council meetings. Our Regional Councils serve as an Advisory Board to the OML Board of Directors, and play an important role in our Legislative Efforts. The Regional Councils allow OML to have more representation from all of our cities and towns across the State, and give our members an opportunity to be more involved.

These meetings will give you an opportunity to share what is happening in your municipality and talk to others in your area to share thoughts and ideas. We will give an update on Interim Studies happening at the Legislature and talk about our Legislative Priorities before we invite your local legislators to join us for lunch.

We look forward to seeing you then!
