OMRI Seal Usage Update
Dear OMRI Listed ® supplier,

As you may be aware, OMRI is launching a new review program on July 1— OMRI Mexico ! Suppliers will soon be able to apply to have their products reviewed to the Mexican Organic Products Law, in addition to OMRI’s U.S. and Canada review programs. Along with this exciting international growth comes a need to update OMRI’s seal design, to simplify and focus the OMRI seal for our suppliers and for end-users.

The most significant change will be the phasing out of the OMRI Canada ® and OMRI USA-Canada ® seals (a process which will include a four-year grace period for affected suppliers), with an eye toward simplification and improved brand recognition. Going forward, all OMRI Listed products, regardless of which standard they are reviewed to, will be eligible to bear a single OMRI Listed seal. The seal itself is identical to the current OMRI Listed seal, with a slight change made to the optional wording below the Seal. The new wording refers users directly to OMRI’s website to check product listings and appropriate uses.

Starting July 1, these seals will be provided for all OMRI Listed products, and promoted in all three markets:
As of July 1, this seal (without the web address) will no longer be provided, but is allowed to remain on packaging for OMRI Listed products:
The OMRI Canada and OMRI USA-Canada seals will be phased out starting July 1, 2020, with a four-year grace period.  Please update your packaging as soon as possible if you carry these seals:
