On July 1, and as part of the FY 2020 Town Budget adopted by the Herndon Town Council, the meals tax in the town increased from 2.5 percent to 3.75 percent. Revenues generated from the increase will fund Herndon Police Department operations, ongoing capital improvements, a pedestrian walkway project, a deputy town attorney position, and Parks & Recreation programming. The town's real estate tax remains unchanged, with no increase. For more information on the newly-adopted FY2020 Budget, click here.
