Town business owners are generally satisfied with the services they receive from the town as well as Herndon as a location in which to do business, according to a first-ever survey of businesses conducted by the town. A total of 150 randomly-selected businesses participated in the survey, conducted on the town's behalf by Priority Metrics Group. Seventy-five percent said they are satisfied with the quality of life in the town; in particular, business owners gave high marks to cleanliness of town streets and available attractions. Areas identified for improvement included the level of taxation and licensing/regulations. Results of the business survey as well as a companion citizen survey will be used to budget town resources and benchmark satisfaction with town initiatives. Click here for more survey results.
