The provincial mixed championship will be held at Candle Lake Golf Resort with the 50th Women's Rosebowl being hosted by the Katepwa Beach Golf Club. The 101st Senior Men's, Third Mid-Master's Championship and 57th Senior Women's Championship will be held at the Cooke Municipal Golf Club in Prince Albert.

We want to feature your club
Take advantage of just one member club benefit!

We want to feature your golf club and see what's up for 2020 and beyond!
Our communications director, Clark Stork would like to hear from you and showcase your club. All he asks is a few minutes of any person invested in your club to conduct an interview, either in person, via email, or over the phone to learn more about what golfers expect from their visit to your club.

Last year Regina Beach Golf Club , Little Loon Regional Park , Birch Hills Golf Course , Wakaw Lake Golf Course , and  McNab Regional Park are just a handful of courses that took advantage of the free publicity. Regina Beach's feature article reached over 6,000 people through the Golf Saskatchewan social media channels. All for a few minutes of time!

Email Clark at cstork@golfsk.org to get started on your promotion.

New World Handicap System for 2020
The new World Handicap System started on January 1st. Saskatchewan players' shouldn't notice much change with the system through the Golf Canada Score Center. A friendly reminder to update your app on your mobile device or go to your app store to download a free version.

Junior golf opportunities
High Performance training is underway for many juniors around the province. Coaches and players have been working indoors on their games to improve whilst others head south in search of warmer climates.

Golf Saskatchewan has once again partnered with Tanner White at 1621 Club in Regina to work with our high-performance athletes. Mental coach Lisa Hoffort is also working with the high-performance squad.

Golf in School packages are also available for delivery to facilities across Saskatchewan, as member clubs and Golf Saskatchewan members if you communicate with any teachers please spread the word about the Golf in School program. Details are here.

Adopt a School Week is April 20 - 24, 2020 this year. Golf Saskatchewan is expected to adopt a couple schools in the province.

Golf instruction/clinics at local clubs are starting to book in advance for clubs that do not employ a golf professional. A great way to spend some of the MAP grant funds that are available to member facilities.

People are starting to inquire about the Sask. Games district playdowns. Almost all of the playdown sites are confirmed. Information on dates, locations, and eligibility will be available early March.

Any golfers interested can contact Steve Ryde at 306-975-0850 or  sryde@golfsaskatchewan.org
