Bits and Pieces

| | Click on the picture above for more information | | What’s on tap for this coming week? For starters, we have finished our 2025 Shop Hop Quilt, and we LOVE it! You’ll get to see it when October 10, when our Shop Hop begins! Was that an enticement for you, or just a cruel tease?!?! Either way, we want you to come in and see it as you join us for the Hop. We have $10 Passports available, along with a map and basic info. like addresses and days/times open during the hop. It’s always a fun time, and we’re once again excited to show you what we have in store for you for our Shop Hop Demo! I do believe we may have trouble keeping this chosen product in stock, so I’ve over-ordered and have them hidden from view…more intrigue! The prizes are definitely worth the cost of the Passport, whether you’re able to finish the Hop or not. Of course, the Grand prizes are always Grand, like a new BERNINA machine, a $100 Gift Certificate to be spent at the shop of your choice in the hop, a Gift Basket valued at approximately $800, and one or two more surprises for those eligible | | Click on the picture above for more information | | If you can’t complete a visit to all 10 of our participating shops, but can only visit a few (or even just ONE!), leave your stamped but unfinished passport at the last shop you visit, and you will still be entered into our Shop Prizes. And these are nothing to sneeze at! You may win, from any of our 10 shops, one of two $50 gift certs. to be spent at that shop, or a gift basket valued at approximately $500. Not too shabby, right??? And a demo of a worthy product, worthy of your attention and time and sewing room! Or so we all hope! And if you don’t win one of the prizes, there’s always next year to try again, and to remember what a fun time you had at this hop, and how much you learned, and how many new people you met! | | Click on the picture above for more information | | Now, for this week, we are having our Kimi Komi class with Shelby Wednesday, 9-17-25. Hopefully, you’ve already signed up and paid to reserve your spot and gotten the supply list, but if this is a last minute decision for you, you have no huge plans for tomorrow, come on in and we can probably squeeze you in! It’s a really fun class, involves NO SEWING, and a finished piece when you leave (probably). Time is 9:30-1:30. Hope to see you. | | Click on the picture above for more information | | A special fun class is on the books for Saturday, 9-20. Andi is offering a 4 Bits Mystery Quilt for National Jellyroll Day. So my best guess is that a jellyroll will be involved in this Mystery Quilt! Jellys are fun, easy, quick, always unique, and now add the Mystery part for a wonderful quilt that you can do anytime. After I’ve finished a Judy Niemeyer Paper Pieced Quilt, I like to follow up with a Jelly Roll Quilt, because I don’t have to think hard (or I can hardly think about it!), and I quickly end up with a bright and happy quilt. Bliss!!! | | Click on the picture above for more information | | Sunday, Andi is back with Intro. to Paper Piecing from 1-3:30. Her class is a great way to be introduced to paper piecing (hence, the name), determine if it’s something you love or don’t like. Some techniques you just have to try to like, and I loved paper piecing from my first tablerunner to my last king quilt! I would never tackle this type of project without a class and some good instructions from a great instructor. Hence, we have Andi! | | Click on the picture above for more information | | Sew Sisters is back in swing with Marilyn and is on the calendar both Tuesday and/or Wednesday. Join us for her special project or just to sew with some buddies on your own projects from Marilyn. Additionally, check out her classroom samples for upcoming classes, and especially see the King Quilt she has on the wall. It’s beautiful, but might not be hanging with us for much longer due to its size. The pattern itself has no panel in it, but Marilyn altered it to include the panel (which I think completes the look of the spread) and will share information with you. The yellow and black bee quilt has stolen my heart…just sayin’. | | Click on the picture above for more information | | Last week, we sent out an info. blast which gave you info. on a brand new automation system which you can use with any domestic machine quilting on a Cutie Breeze frame. Hopefully, it didn’t go to your spam file, but I do hope you read the blast. We are now accepting a $99 refundable deposit to ensure your order is reserved just for you. It is a much smaller and therefore easier software product and you can learn more about it on our website or call the shop! We don’t have one to show you yet, but soon! | | Our special for the week will be 10% off our already reduced clearance fabrics. They are already at a low, low price of just $7/yard! Oh, and while we’re at it, let’s include Clearance panels, which are already a low price of $6/panel. Bargain time!!! Just give us the code: CLEARANCE10 to get the discount. In store or online (www.sunvalleyquilts.com). Have a great week, come visit us and see what’s new and what’s Fall and what we can show you to get you into some trouble!?!? Be safe! | | Barbara and tappers of toes at SVQ | | | | |
