ONEgeneration would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our 2025 volunteers, supporters, and community partners. We could not provide our services and programs without your commitment to our community. Your time, generosity, and dedication truly make a difference.
We are deeply grateful for your end-of-year donations, which support vital programs including our Food Pantry, Meals delivered to homebound older adults, Transportation for non-driving seniors, Grandparents As Parents, Sages & Seekers, Childcare, Care Management, and so much more.
Because of you, we are able to continue meeting the needs of our neighbors and strengthening our community. We look forward to continuing our work together in the New Year.

ONEgeneration Annual Holiday SHARE Project
(SHARE - Sending Help And Real Essentials)
| | | |
ONEgeneration’s Annual “Adopt a Senior” SHARE Project provides a wonderful opportunity for generous donors and community partners to assist homebound and frail older adults within our community. This holiday season, over 290 seniors (ages 60-101), along with low-income families, received gifts of essential household items tailored to their specific needs. Bath benches, nutritional drinks, robes, blankets, toiletries and so much more were provided for those unable to afford these necessities or venture out to acquire them, the thoughtful contributions from our donors make a significant difference. Each year, the care our donors put into every package is truly heartwarming; whether it’s selecting the perfect size dog toys or a Dodgers Christmas ornament for a lifelong fan, these gifts often become the only treasures they receive during the holidays. This year, one donor made it possible for a senior to receive a recliner chair, a gift that will significantly enhance his daily quality of life due to health issues that confine him to that chair for most of the day.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in SHARE this year! We are incredibly grateful for the support from our corporate partners and philanthropic groups, including Kaiser Permanente - Woodland Hills, UCLA West Valley Medical Center, Intuit, Corebridge, the National Charity League (SFV Chapter), and many others. Thank you also to the families and individuals in the community who embraced the spirit of giving by assisting an older adult this holiday season! Your support for those we serve is truly appreciated.
If you didn’t have a chance to participate this year, we kindly invite you to consider contributing to our programs to directly support older adults in your community.

ONEgeneration’s Annual Holiday Show was highlighted in the Los Angeles Daily News. Click here to see the article highlighting the talented dancers and singers who performed on Friday 12/19 at ONEgeneration's Senior Enrichment Center in Reseda.
Thank you to our choreographer Arlene Zoren and to our sponsors SCAN Health Plan and the Rotary Club of Woodland Hills for making this popular event possible.
| | | | Senior Center Member of the Month | | | Mary Margret Garcia is a member of Wilkinson Senior Center, and a volunteer. Mary Margret is known as M&M as we have many Mary’s in the center! She is a mother and a grandmother. Her son David lives close by, and she is proud Nana to his two girls. M&M enjoys cooking Italian food and enjoys a good meal out. Mary spends her free time volunteering when she is not working out at the SilverSneakers classes, Boxing and Dance, or Yoga chair exercises to name a few. M&M has been busy this holiday season helping with decorations, stuffing bags of candy, helping with bread sales, selling snowflakes, working the parties, and additional administrative tasks. M&M likes to keep busy at the center but also several charities in the community, especially involving kids. We appreciate you and all you do at the center! | |

Kwanza Jones & José E. Feliciano Initiative
| | | |
In December, dedicated volunteers from the Kwanza Jones & José E. Feliciano Initiative came together with ONEgeneration for a meaningful day of service and giving. Prior to their arrival, they generously donated two new storage sheds to enhance our Food Pantry program, enabling us to store larger quantities of shelf-stable foods. Additionally, they provided essential electric pallet jacks, which greatly assist our limited staff in efficiently moving bulk foods.
On Friday, December 10th, staff members participated in the Walk-Up Food Pantry program, distributing bags of food to over 190 households of older adults and low-income families. Beyond serving those in-person, they also took the time to assemble “Kind Kits,” which included activities, warm hats, socks, and other items for homebound older adults. These hardworking volunteers initiated the process of transferring items from the food pantry into the auxiliary sheds they supplied, creating space for more produce in our temperature-controlled Food Pantry area, which is limited.
A heartfelt THANK YOU to all the wonderful and compassionate volunteers who joined us on this day. We look forward to partnering with you in the future. Your legacy gifts will support our food pantry and programs for years to come, helping many who rely on our services!
| | Childcare - Intergenerational Daycare | | | |
During the month of December, the children and their neighbors “older adults” bonded as they celebrated the holiday season together. They created a variety of crafts that honored Hanukkah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa. Through these activities, both generations learned about different holidays and traditions.
Some of the crafts and activities included paper plate menorahs, tracing holiday symbols, painting snowflakes, tasting latkes, reading holiday books, making Kwanzaa suncatchers, and creating shaped Christmas trees. We even had a special visit from one of our childcare grandmothers, who read us a book and showed us a light-up menorah and dreidel.
It has truly been a fun and busy month! ONEgeneration’s Intergenerational Program wishes you all a joyful holiday season.

ONEgeneration's GAP Holiday Celebration Brings Joy to Families!
Recently, our Grandparents As Parents (GAP) program hosted its annual holiday celebration at the ONEgeneration Senior Enrichment Center—and it was a joyful success! More than 100 children and caregivers came together to enjoy delicious food, festive activities, a Christmas movie, and plenty of holiday cheer.
Families especially loved decorating Christmas cookies, face painting, and striking a pose at the photo booth. Adult caregivers were also treated to a relaxing sound bath, while the kids enjoyed watching The Grinch. The afternoon’s highlight was a very special visit from Santa Claus, which brought smiles all around.
The GAP program extends heartfelt thanks to Juan Sosa and all of our generous vendors who helped make this memorable celebration possible. Because of your support, our families were able to create lasting holiday memories together.

My Comfort Zone
a poem by Norman Molesko
My activities are being guided
by what I call my comfort zone,
by good feelings that are ingrained.
These feelings become immersed in my mind,
where I detect a sense of composure,
a place of tranquility and safety.
My comfort zone is my oasis,
the location of my inner sanctuary,
where I am at peace and serenity.
No chance of becoming overwhelmed.
No chance of becoming stressed.
