REVISED August 2022
Board Message ~ Summer Reflection
Karma Hill
ICF GA Secretary
Summer has been a time for basking in the warmth and enjoying longer days. Many of us traded the hustle and bustle of the early morning school and work routine for exciting vacations and outdoor adventures. As we continue to savor the last of the extended sunlight, it’s time to prepare for the earlier sunsets and the cooler weather ahead. Though summer brings about bright colors and thoughts of fun, fall comes with the thoughts of slowing down and snuggling into the coziness. We can take this time to turn inward for a time of introspection and reflection. We can start by taking walks outside to connect with nature and enjoy the colorful falling leaves. As we spend time connecting with nature, we can reconnect with ourselves, evaluating our feelings and emotions. We can ask ourselves what would nourish us in this season and use our awareness to create our fall self-care plan. As we shift into a slower pace, let’s be sure to embrace this seasonal change with grace and self-compassion. See you soon!
