Smart Start of Mecklenburg County (SSMC) seeks committee volunteers for our fiscal year 2023-2024.  Committee members serve a one-year term (July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024) and can renew annually at the discretion of SSMC. Committee members may serve on up to 2 committees at a time. The number of community members required by the committee is determined by the committee chair. Candidates will receive a follow-up regarding their application in July or August 2023. Spaces are limited, but opportunities to join will be available on an annual basis.

Did you know the annual Shop for Good campaign lets you shop for specific items on our wish list? Items are shipped directly to us, so know exactly where your money goes. This Shop for Good Week, we ask for help stocking our Little Libraries with books. With 21 libraries spread out conveniently across Charlotte, families can grab new books to help build their child’s at-home library. By shopping our book wish list, you also will also support a local, small business - an online and pop-up bookstore, Shelves.
