Board of Education Action Items
Rejection of all proposals submitted in response to RFP 026-20 for Cellular Data Services

The Board of education rejected all proposals from RFP 026-20 for cellular data service.

After review of the RFPs, unanswered questions led staff to determine that the district will be in a position after a period of usage to better evaluate data and service needs.

The board chose to reject all proposals and discuss moving forward with contract terms negotiated by the State of Nebraska (see next item).
Approval of Agreement with T-Mobile for unlimited 4G LTE data services for 56,400 iPads and 300 mobile hot spots.
The Board of Education approved the purchase of 4G LTE unlimited data services through T-Mobile for district iPads and hotspots. Terms mirror the agreement negotiated by the State of Nebraska.

The Board previously approved the purchase of 2,000 iPads and 300 hotspots for summer school use as well as 54,400 iPads for students during the 2020-21 school year.

The devices and approved data services eliminate device and internet connectivity barriers for students to engage in learning.
