New Justice Center resources available
New Prevention Toolkit. This new toolkit was created to provide information and resources to support the safety of people who require assistance to identify and report illness, injury, abuse, or neglect. This toolkit on body checks provides information about the importance of performing regular checks as well as tools to support the practice of body checks in the provision of care. The toolkit can be found on the Justice Center’s website.

• Investigation Basics for State Oversight and Provider Agency Staff: December 14, 15, and 16
This live, on-line course takes place in three (3) two-hour and fifteen minute intervals over three days and provides staff with the information and resources to complete investigations into allegation of abuse and neglect.
• Justice Center Code of Conduct Train the Trainer November 17 and December 14
Two web-based interactive train-the-trainer classes designed to assist organizations teach the New York State Justice Center’s Code of Conduct. There is limited space available.
• Sepsis: Considerations for Investigators November 18
This webinar will provide an overview of the medical condition Sepsis and offer investigators best practices for investigating an allegation of neglect that may result when an individual receiving services develops this condition.
