Upcoming: ORC Drag Race & Come Try Rowing Day

The ORC is thrilled to announce that the Capital Pride Drag Race Event will be held on Sunday, August 18th, from 1-5 pm!

We are looking for 12 volunteer athletes to participate in ORC's Drag Race and help with set up and take down. Athletes will be on relay teams of 5 members- including one drag performer. Teams will doing one erg relay of 2500m with each member doing 500m followed by one erg relay of 500 m split between the drag performer and one or more athlete. Points are awarded for the team's performances on the erg and for the drag performers number during the show. The winning team will be crowned. Food will be provided for volunteers.

We are also looking for volunteers, including safety boat drivers, for the Come Try Rowing portion of the event, which will be held the same day from 11 to 2. If interested, please reach out to athlete.representative@ottawarowingclub.com!

Upcoming: ORC Summer Blockbuster

The ORC is excited to announce the upcoming Summer Blockbuster: Jaws.

The date for the blockbuster will be August 25th! Doors will open at 2:15 with a 2:45 start.

Tickets are available through Eventbrite or at the door.

"You're Gonna Need a Bigger Boat" Contest!

From July 29th to August 10th we invite club members to get a video to the Athlete Rep (either sending it to them or having them record it) of someone saying "You're Gonna Need a Bigger Boat." 

Between August 19th-23rd we will post the videos on our social media pages. The person who submitted the video that gets the most likes and shares will get two free tickets to see JAWS at ORC's Summer Blockbuster. We will announce the winner on August 23rd. 

Each club member can only submit one video each. In the event of a tie we will draw for the winner. 

ORC Half Day Summer Camp now available!

The ORC now offers gym-only memberships! These memberships are great for friends, parents, crossfitters and anyone looking for a high-quality and friendly training space!

Memberships are now only $75 for the whole summer.

ORC Discord

New to ORC or haven't heard of Discord? Discord is an instant messaging social platform that has virtual communities, called "servers", which can be accessed through their webpage or app. ORC has its own discord server where all of our important and urgent information, like practice cancellations and updates, will be posted first. Follow the link below to join the ORC server. Once you've entered the server, you will need to select the ORC programs or activities you are associated with to get access to the "channels", or chat groups, affiliated with your program.
