ORH is always thankful for churches willing to help with the work of restoring worhip services for damaged churches.
Pastor Brent Brondyke, music pastor of Friendship Baptist Church, wrote the following about their team's good work.
"When we arrived in Sulphur we were met by sights of devastation. Even in the air we could see the damage.... Our work at Vincent Baptist was probably not what most of the men were expecting.... Our main efforts were on minor roof repair, refurbishing and updating that building to make it more adequate for meeting. We were able to do much needed drywall repair and painting. A new floor was also installed in their Sunday School building. The interim pastor and the people were wonderful, and I believe they were greatly encouraged by the work of the team. It was a blessing to us, as well."
Interim pastor of Vincent Baptist, Brad McKelvy, wrote also.
"Vincent Baptist Church would like to thank Operation Renewed Hope for connecting us with two teams of volunteers, with the assistance of aviation ministries. They helped us gut the interior of our Sanctuary building and helped get our Fellowship Hall repaired to allow us to have services in it until the Sanctuary can be repaired."
in speaking with Pastor Brad, he expressed great appreciation for the teams who came to help.
Please pray for more teams to go to the area. Pastor Wayne Dartez, Victory Baptist Church, desperately needs work teams to help him.
