During this Season of Eastertide(the time between Easter & Pentecost Sundays) Jazz Coffeehouse will be exploring the theme of hope and reawakening, through the lens of the 7 Days of Creation. We hope you'll join us during the social time following the coffeehouse for an informal reflection on age-old questions, led by Seminarian Thomas A. Mitchell. Topics include:

  • 4/15 Where do we see “light?”
  • 4/22 How should we exercise “dominion over the earth?” (Care of Creation)
  • 4/29 Water: What is it good for, really?

DIALOGUE ON THE INTRA-RACIAL CHURCH

(G)RACE Speaks offers a four-week curriculum to facilitate dialogue on the intra-racial church, intra = within or inside one group. Through personal stories, dialogues are focused on understanding and finding the means of dealing with conscious and unconscious racial behavior. The curriculum is open to everyone. It will be offered over four weeks, with an option to attend on either a Sunday at 11 a.m.-12.30 p.m. or Monday at 7-8.30 p.m. each week. LIVING IN COMMUNITY
MARCH FOR ASIAN FUTURES
Saturday, April 10 1pm-4pm

The Asian Coalition MA--an AAPI youth-led organization--will rally and march for Asian futures this Saturday. The rally begins at Peter's Park with speakers and then will march to Chinatown Gate. Old Southers interested in joining are invited to meet in front of Old South Church at 12:30 p.m. to walk over together.

TWO TRIUMPHS FOR THE OSC CLIMATE CRISIS TASK FORCE

On Friday, March 26th Gov. Baker signed Senate Bill 9 – An Act Creating a Next Generation Roadmap for Massachusetts Climate Policy, which the OSC Climate Crisis Task Force, and dozens of church members and friends, have been diligently advocating for over the last year. Old South Church has also been awarded Level 3 recognition in the SNEUCC Green Congregation Challenge. Join us on Care of Creation Sunday (April 25th) as we celebrate both of these victories!

SANCTUARY IN THE CITY
Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The back of our Sanctuary in the City is open Mondays through Fridays, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for people to experience sacred space. Protocols of masks, social distancing, and a 10-person limit are required.
