  • 5/20 Why is it so hard to rest
DAILY PRAYER
We gather, Monday through Friday, at 12 p.m. for a brief time of sacred pause. Daily Prayers are hosted on Facebook Live by the clergy of Old South Church. During this time of gentle reflection, participants are invited to write their prayer requests in the chat. Can't make it live? You can watch past prayer services on our Facebook page. Any prayer requests posted after the service ends are prayed by the clergy the next time we gather.
CELEBRATING REBECCA
We are sad to be bidding an official “farewell” to Rebecca Bowler Pasipanodya as Old South’s Assistant Church Administrator. However we celebrate her new calling as the mother of a beautiful baby girl, and the fact that she remains a member of our congregation and volunteer Godly Play teacher. Serving our church in many capacities since 2015 – Church School intern, Boston Warm staff, Seminarian, full and part-time administration – Rebecca has been a valuable participant and leader in every endeavor. Rebecca was project manager for Old South Church in Boston, 1669-2019: A Concise Theological, Historical, & Whimsical Encyclopedia.

You can send Rebecca a farewell, good luck, or thank you message to [email protected] or mail a card to the church.

NATIONAL INTERFAITH PROGRAM ON
"SPIRITUAL PRACTICE AND SUICIDE PREVENTION"
Saturday, May 15th, 10:00 a.m. to Noon, MDT, Click here to register

When people think of suicide, they often conceptualize it as a crisis of mental health. While this framework is often times helpful in understanding the thought processes, emotional states and how to help someone through treatment, the framework does not fully take into account the role of spirituality and faith.
