The OSCAR Program Office is pleased to announce NextGen OSCAR, coming in November 2019!

The improved hiring system will be mobile responsive with system-wide enhancements including a new website, simpler account management, improved system alerts and notifications, streamlined search filters, new tagging features, and more.

Position Postings
  • Clear four-step process for posting positions
  • More flexibility in selecting term lengths (six months, one year, 18 months, two years, etc.)

  • Streamlined search filters
  • Centralized view of applicant details
  • Simpler batch options
  • Automatic flagging of qualified applicants based on your requirements
  • New tagging feature to organize applicants
How Does It Affect You?
  • There will be limited system downtime.
  • The OSCAR website link remains the same (https://oscar.uscourts.gov).
  • Your account, profile, staff accounts, positions, and applications will automatically migrate to NextGen OSCAR.

We will email more information to you in advance of the launch date.
How Do I...Close a Position?
When you complete your hiring, make sure to close your position in OSCAR to show applicants that you are no longer hiring. Follow these steps to close your position and update your profile, including your hiring practices statement. ( N ote: you must log into your OSCAR account to access the link.)

 The OSCAR Program Office provides training resources to help judges and chambers staff manage their applications in OSCAR. Learn how to use the advanced search, manage folders, generate application packets, and send emails to your applicants directly through OSCAR.

 The OSCAR Program Office provides training to help judges, chambers staff, staff attorney offices, and court unit administrators become familiar with using OSCAR.
