¡camino a los Oscars!
Silvio Caiozzi's film ... And Suddenly the Dawn , starring Julio Jung , is Chile's submission to compete for a nomination to the 91st Academy Awards Best Foreign Language Film . The film marks the director's return after a 13 year hiatus, and was already awarded the Grand Prix of the Americas (Best Film) at the 2017 Montreal World Film Festival.

The film received a standing ovation at its world premiere in Montreal.

Silvio Caiozzi
Silvio Caiozzi’s career spans over five decades. He has mastered a wide- range of directorial and production undertakings in the motion picture industry, including:
a television commercial that won the Cannes Gold Lion in 1986, and an award winning television wine documentary series (12 episodes) titled “ Descorchando Chile ” ( “Cheers from Chile” ) in 2010.

Founder and owner of Andrea Films S.A., a production and distribution company in Chile.

Julio Jung
Julio Jung is the leading actor in ...Y de pronto el amanecer ( ...And Suddenly the Dawn ) and he has been directed by Silvio Caiozzi in two of his previous films: Coronation (2000), and Cachimba (2004).

Jaime Vadell is an award-winning Chilean film, theatre and television actor.
