Recognize Workers or Teams for Improving Workplace Safety
The following are some of OSHA's recently issued or updated compliance assistance products. Many publications with an OSHA publication number can be downloaded or ordered from the OSHA Publication page, They can also be ordered by calling the OSHA Publications Office at (202) 693-1888 or (800) 321-OSHA (6742).

Worker participation is meaningfully engaging workers at all levels in establishing, implementing, evaluating, and improving safety and health in the workplace. This means workers understand they are a valuable partner in making their workplace safer and are encouraged to communicate with management about hazards on the job. Workers are the experts when it comes to the tasks they do and the tools and equipment they use, which makes them a key resource for innovative ideas to improve safety and health.

You can recognize workers or teams for their contributions to safety by:

  • Hosting a celebration
  • Rewarding safe workers
  • Initiating a “Safety Hall of Fame”
