Believe
:: Belong :: Build
Dearest Members,
“
Nothing ventured. Nothing gained.”
Believe
in the countless opportunities Delta Kappa Gamma has to offer.
Belong
not just as a member, but actively
participate with bold commitment and determination to
build
Ohio’s future
.
As we (your State Leadership Team) continue on our DKG journey this biennium, we want to ask each of you this question. Where is your DKG journey currently taking you? To your next chapter meeting? Involvement with your chapter’s Foster Care program/project? To a state function, such as the DKG/Ohio State Convention in March, or to our next International Convention in Philadelphia, PA next July or perhaps as far as Austin, Texas to the Ignite-DKG Leadership Management Seminar? We ask this question because, beyond our primary biennium goal of growing and strengthening Ohio’s chapters, another strategic goal is to increase membership commitment through participation in DKG beyond the chapter level.

YOU are INSPIRING excellence in our future EDUCATORS!
. . . “Because of your generous donation, you have lightened my financial burden as I pursue my degree, complete student teaching, and learn how to become the best school-based SLP that I can become. Your generosity has truly inspired me, and I look forward to the day when I am able to pay this generosity forward like you have done for me.”

THE BUCKEYE/CHERRY CHALLENGE
Have you heard about the Buckeye-Cherry Membership Challenge? The Ohio State and Michigan State Organization representatives attended DKG Leadership Development in Des Moines, Iowa, this summer and our state president Diana Kirkpatrick had an idea for a membership challenge between the two states. During a breakfast meeting, the two teams developed a plan. The goal is to see which organization can increase membership by the greatest percentage. Are you up for the challenge? To help OSO be declared the winner, continue reading the article for more information.

A GOOD REASON TO BE AN
EARLY BIRD!
|
Last month information was shared for reserving a room at the Embassy Suites in Dublin for the DKG/Ohio State Convention on March 20-22. It has since been discovered that the OHSAA Boys State Basketball Tournament is scheduled for that same weekend in Columbus. A block of rooms is being held for the DKG Convention; however, once the block is filled more rooms can only be added if there are rooms available. With the high school basketball tournament in Columbus, rooms will go quickly. To make a reservation, either call 1-800-220-9219 or book online at
www.columbusdublin.embassysuites.com
and use the group code “DKG.”
