How do I find funding?
OSP Video Tutorial: How to Find Funding with Pivot*
The Office of Sponsored Programs has created a short video tutorial (~12 minutes) that provides a broad overview of Pivot and it's features. Available now in WebCampus and open for self-enrollment by anyone at UNLV https://unlv.instructure.com/enroll/48JTFC.
*Pivot is a subscription-based external funding opportunities database.

Pivot is available to all UNLV faculty, staff, and students FREE of charge (OSP sponsors the yearly subscription cost). Additional Pivot Resources are available.

Dimensions, developed by Digital Science, is a new online database for searching and retrieving research papers, grant information, clinical trials, and patents.
Writing a Data Management Plan?
A data management plan (DMP) is a written statement detailing how you will collect, organize, manage, store, secure, backup, preserve and share your data. Many grant funding agencies and corporate funders now require a data management plan to be incorporated into the grant application process in order to be considered. To learn more about DMP requirements for funding agencies, visit the Funding Guidelines tab.

JUMP into STEM is designed to inspire the next generation of building scientists. With diversity at the forefront, JUMP into STEM emphasizes the inclusion of an interdisciplinary mix of majors and students underrepresented in the building science field.
 
The nationwide competition is open to U.S. undergraduate and graduate students across a variety of majors to help solve the industry’s most pressing issues.

This year’s Challenges focus on developing holistic solutions to address energy justice across the country. Finalists will present solutions during the Final Event at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in January 2022 and compete for a paid summer 2022 internship at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, or the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
