OSP is excited to announce that starting in November, all awards received will begin with a New Award Kick-off Meeting for the award PI and their departmental staff. During these meetings, PI’s will have the opportunity to meet with OSP representatives from Pre-Award, Grants & Contracts, and Post-Award, to review various award topics such as:
- Roles & Responsibilities
- Terms and conditions of the award
- Reporting requirements – technical and financial
- Sub-award requirements - monitoring and invoice review/approval
- Items requiring prior sponsor approval - changes in scope or budget
- Invoicing - needed forms and transaction documentation
- Cost Share requirements - tracking and documentation
- Closeout procedures – finalizing expenditures and timelines
As the requirements of each award are different depending on the funding source, OSP hopes that these meetings will be helpful to all parties to improve communication, streamline processes and procedures, and to ensure that all have a thorough and clear understanding of the expectations and responsibilities.
