Treatment Patterns of CDK 4/6 Inhibitor Utilization in HR+/HER2- Metastatic Breast Cancer

PARP-inhibitors in Prostate Cancer

Projects that will be considered for Pfizer support will focus on increasing the understanding of PARP inhibitors and the future of their use in the treatment of advanced prostate cancer. Topics of interest include Mechanisms of Action of PARP inhibitors, selection of appropriate patients, biomarker testing process, analytical platforms and result interpretation to inform decision-making, and management of patients treated with PARP inhibitors.

Biosimilars Education in Solid Tumors

The goal of this RFP is to support the prudent (safe and effective) use of biosimilar drugs in the treatment of solid tumors, in particular colorectal cancer, and HER2+ breast cancer.

Proposals should aim to increase clinician and patient understanding of complex biosimilar concepts including but not limited to:

extrapolation of indications (e.g. for biosimilar indicated in colorectal cancer but not clinically studied in colorectal cancer, including scientific and regulatory rationale/points of view);

the analytical foundation for demonstrating biosimilarity and the regulatory framework governing the approval of biosimilar drugs including explanation of key analytical (structural and functional) evaluations, interpretation of key functional and structural analytical data, and implications for clinical practice

Proposals for interventional, non-interventional, basic science, or other studies that include but not limited to:

Demonstrate the value or economic benefit of the biosimilar
Incorporate Real World Data and/or Patient Reported Outcomes
Evaluate the integration of the biosimilar with a standard-of-care regimen in an approved indication not previously evaluated
Explore rational treatment combinations with other Pfizer medicines

Postdoc Opportunity

The NIH Maximizing Opportunities for Scientific and Academic Independent Careers (MOSAIC) Program

The program is designed to facilitate the transition of promising postdoctoral researchers from diverse backgrounds, such as individuals from groups underrepresented in the biomedical research workforce at the faculty level , into independent faculty careers at research-intensive institutions.

The program has two components:

MOSAIC Postdoctoral Career Transition Award to Promote Diversity (K99/R00). Supports postdoctoral scientists from diverse backgrounds conducting research in areas within the NIGMS mission by providing up to 5 years of support in two phases. The initial (K99) phase provides support for up to 2 years of mentored postdoctoral research training and career development. The second (R00) phase provides up to 3 years of independent research support once the scholar transitions to an independent faculty position. Awardees must be US Citizens or Permanent Residents. MOSAIC Institutionally-Focused Research Education Cooperative Agreement to Promote Diversity (UE5). Supports scientific societies whose members conduct research within the NIGMS mission. Awardees will provide skills development, mentoring, and networking opportunities that prepare cohorts of scholars supported by MOSAIC K99/R00 awards to transition into, succeed, and advance in independent faculty careers at research-intensive institutions.
