OSP Training: Salary Over the Cap Costing Allocations (Grants Only)

Virtual Classroom - Enroll Now in RebelPeople Three Sessions Available: February 13, 2024 9:30am - 10:30am PST | February 15, 2024 11:00am - 12:00pm PST | February 21, 2024 1:00pm - 2:00pm PST The Office of Sponsored Programs along with Human Capital Management will be hosting a training regarding costing allocations for grants that have been flagged Salary over the cap. This helps to ensure that payroll expenses do not exceed the limitations for the salaries of workers on grants that have salary restrictions. This prompts Payroll to automatically calculate under and over cap amounts. Over cap amounts are then assigned to alternative costing via the Employee Costing Allocation. Year 1 of the budget template encompasses start dates of 7/1/2024 through 6/30/2025. Please utilize these templates effective today for all budgets with start dates of 7/1/2024 or later. Please note that GA tuition and fee rates are provided by the Graduate College (not OSP) and the proposed benefit rates are provided by the Controllers Office (not OSP).
