2022 Summer Experience Funding
OSPGD invites first-year through junior students to apply for its Summer Experience Funds, specifically intended to cover unpaid and minimally-paid internships, research, and service experiences, which are common in the non-profit and public sectors.

To help students identify opportunities early for which to apply for funding (though you are welcome to apply before confirming an opportunity), OSPGD reached out to F&M alumni, parents, and friends of the college who are members of the True Blue Network, and is pleased to share this list of summer experiences you can underwrite with OSPGD"s funds.

Off-Campus Program Opportunities
Summer Bioethics Program for Underrepresented Undergraduate Students (1 week): The Hastings Center (remote) - Participants will learn about theoretical and applied issues in bioethics, develop skill in explaining and justifying their views on topics in bioethics, and learn how to listen with respect to divergent views.

Building Entrepreneurial Leaders Program (1 week): Bain and Company, BEL (Building Entrepreneurial Leaders) Program - a week-long sophomore diversity program designed to give undergraduate students an opportunity to learn first-hand what it is like to be a consultant.

College Board Mentor Opportunity: AP CSP Student Hackathon: The College Board (remote) - Mentors will play a critical role in helping student groups by fostering a community of belonging;, providing technical support, asking questions to get students talking, sharing their own CS experiences, and providing positive encouragement to students along the way. OSPGD: Exciting Staff Updates
OSPGD is pleased to announce updates to our advising staff in 2022!
Ashley Fry has stepped into the new role of Director of Career Development. Ashley will be responsible for our hallmark alumni advising and development, while also serving as the primary career adviser for Roschel College House students, who can self-schedule an advising appointment on Ashley's calendar.
Jonathan Lopes is a first-generation college graduate and experienced career development and student success professional who comes to F&M from York College of Pennsylvania. He will serve as the primary career adviser for students from Brooks and Bonchek College Houses, who can self-schedule an advising appointment on Jonathan's calendar.
Jennifer Rupert is an experienced career coach in helping liberal arts undergraduates and graduates prepare for success in their lives and careers beyond college. She comes to F&M from James Madison University She will serve as the primary career adviser for students from Ware and Weis College Houses, who can self-schedule an advising appointment on Jennifer's calendar.
