With all of the commercialism this time of year brings, I want to remind everyone that “Jesus is the Reason for the Season”. One of the best places to get this perspective is at your local church. This time of year features the lovely, traditional Christmas carols and music that tell the story of Jesus coming to this earth as a baby over 2,000 years ago. There is something about hearing the story through songs like Christmas concerts and cantatas, children’s programs, the playing of bells, and candlelight services that touch the heart.
So make it a point to attend church this Christmas season. There are many wonderful congregations and churches that are ready to welcome you, as they share the timeless story of Christ coming as a baby to eventually redeem mankind, and make a way back to God the Father. Truly, as the song says, “a baby changes everything”. Let that message of hope and change bring peace and joy, as you are renewed in your spirit this Christmas season!
