This is the week before Christmas. For most, it is a crazy, stressful time of trying to buy and wrap the last gifts, make MORE cookies, cook food, get the special outfits ready, send out MORE cards, clean the house, and try to enjoy it? That’s where we need to pause and take a breath!
Work in some quiet moments when you can reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. Read the Bible story of Christ’s birth, or some biblical devotional books. Ask God to reveal Himself and His peace to you. As He gave His best gift to mankind, what can you do to show His love? Maybe it’s one less gift for you and one to a needy child. Maybe it’s making time to attend a church service instead of watching a TV special. Maybe it’s doing a fun activity with your kids instead of rushing around shopping.
Let us make sure we remember that “Jesus is the Reason for the Season” and let that permeate all we do and say!
