Changes Coming to Operation Transformation

Operation Transportation has been a valuable asset to the Blue Water Community for the last 20 years. This past year, current Executive Director Rev. Dr. Thomas Seppo had expressed a desire to step down from the position (as he puts it “shifting gears”). The Board of Directors has been working on a viable succession plan, and spent countless hours in conversation and prayer about the next steps.
We were pleasantly surprised to learn Tom’s son, Andrew, was feeling a call into full-time Christian ministry. He and his wife Caitlyn are currently both chiropractors in Holland, MI. The OT Board (many of whom have known Andrew for years) had several conversations and interviews with them, and offered Andrew a full-time position as Executive Director. Cait will work part-time as the Executive Assistant (replacing Brenda).  Many steps had to “fall into place” for this to happen smoothly, and God has certainly opened the doors at the right time! They will commence serving at OT on July 14th.

We are thrilled with Andrew’s desire to return to his roots. He grew up in Port Huron, and is familiar with the area, its’ churches, people and leadership. He is a great communicator, a man of faith and prayer, a leader among his peers and passionate about OT’s vision. We believe that Andrew and Cait will be very effective at communicating with younger families in the area.  See his Bio & picture.

Please join us in welcoming Rev. Rev. Dr. Andrew Seppo, Dr. Cait Seppo and Scout. We are hosting an Open House on Thursday, September 1st from 9am – 4pm at OT,  if you would like to stop by and meet them personally. Refreshments will be served. Let us know if you will be coming by calling 810-966-8660 or emailing [email protected].

Tom and Brenda will continue to invest time and energy to support OT. Tom will stay on in a limited role as “Advisor to the Executive Director” for the foreseeable future, ensuring a smooth transition. Thank you for the support and encouragement you have given on them, and Operation Transformation, over the past 20 years. We hope you will share our joy and confidence as we start a new chapter for OT!

Sincerely,

John Kendrick – President of Operation Transformation Board of Directors
