Thank You!

Thank you so much for supporting Operation Transformation during the "Big Give", sponsored by the Community Foundation of St. Clair County. Last Wednesday, on June 9th, $639,592 was raised for 72 non-profit organizations, during 24 hours! Operation Transformation is extremely grateful for the $17,275 towards our $20,000 goal to help with updating our building electrical system, outside sign renovation, "Connect" groups initiative, and long-term financial stability. We are overwhelmed and encouraged by your gift to OT!

The SC4 Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is presenting a virtual Juneteenth Celebration event "Free-ish" from 10:00 to 11:30 am on Thursday, June 17, hosted by AAmos Consulting Group.

Juneteenth is a nationwide celebration of the end of slavery. On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers arrived in Texas and read the Emancipation Proclamation, announcing that all enslaved people were free. This was more than two and a half years after it was issued on Jan. 1, 1863, by President Abraham Lincoln. The day is also sometimes call "Juneteenth Independence Day," "Freedom Day," or Emancipation Day."

This year we will be joined by speakers to discuss the history behind Juneteenth, bridging the gap between the between the African and Black Community and the Current State of Black America. Register here
