Help for Ukraine

Operation Transformation is very concerned about the invasion of Ukraine and the suffering it is causing their citizens. To that end, we feel it is our Christian duty to help those who are suffering. Even as Paul collected offerings from churches to bring to the poor in Jerusalem (as recorded in Acts), we would like to share our financial resources with those in Ukraine who are enduring the military invasion, and those who are trying to leave.  We encourage you to do the same. If you do not know where to send a financial donation, you can send funds to Operation Transformation (checks made out to OT), and we will be a clearinghouse to forward funds to 2 different ministries who we trust to get needed funds to Ukraine. You can also go to the ministry websites listed.

1.  Samaritan's Purse has sent a Field Hospital and 2 medical clinics to Ukraine and is working with a network of 3,200 churches there (who were in the midst of dispensing Operation Christmas C
Child shoeboxes to 600,00 children). www.samaritanspurse.org

2. We are also sending funds through Christ For the Nations to a ministry called MIRA - Making Impact Right Away. They are currently in Ukraine, have Ukrainians on their Board and family members there. They are distributing food, medicine, generators and building supplies to those staying in the country, and fuel, clothing and humanitarian needs to those who are evacuating.  www.cfni.org (General Fund - Ukraine)

God bless you for your consideration to help those in need. Above all - pray!

Afghan Refugee Help Needed!
“I was a stranger and you welcomed me” Matt 25:35

There is a great opportunity in Port Huron and Marysville area. As you know, in the aftermath of the American pull out from Afghanistan, many families were displaced. Most of these had worked with the American government in some way. Thousands have come to the United

States, and have yet to be settled. These people are in the category of the stranger or alien whom Jesus spoke of.  We have an opportunity to bless the “aliens” now among us in America. In partnership with Samaritans Purse, which is providing resources to equip churches, Operation Transformation is helping to promote the opportunity to bring some of these families to Port Huron and Marysville. A group of Christians working with Ampliore Recruiting - have secured two of the hardest things to get for refugees: good paying jobs suitable for poor English speakers and funding for housing. This is a major hurdle for them to become self-sufficient, contributing members of society.

We are looking for Christians, churches, and other non-profits in Port Huron/Marysville to partner in the process and be the hands and feet of Jesus by welcoming the families, helping them with practical needs (get settled, finding stores and services, finding furniture and clothing, getting driver’s licenses, etc.).

Take a look at this PDF file from Samaritans Purse (Ampliore notes) to get a better picture of what is involved: https://1drv.ms/b/s!AnEgWVGZTTa4hPRxLFKN2YlWDHOR1Q?e=Ifxmnb
