Mother's Day

We recently celebrated Mother’s Day and I can’t help but reflect on what it stands for. Mothers play such an important role in our lives, nurturing us from birth and guiding us as we grow, to develop into men and women with integrity. Being brought up in the church, I was always taught to honor my Mother. Now that I am also a parent, I appreciate much more the unconditional love, patience, and strength it takes to fill that role.

Verbally or in a card, tell your Mom how much you appreciate the daily efforts she makes or did make, to run the household smoothly and above all - to care for you. Help her any way you can - without her having to ask! As the Bible says, “Rise up and call her blessed”. What a wonderful idea to make every day a special Mother’s Day!
