We would like to commend the many churches and other organizations who sponsor Mobile Food Giveaways. The topic of hunger, especially in America, is hard to talk about. We don’t like to think people have to worry about getting a basic like food. But the reality is, many people are stretched so thin, that making choices about food is a norm for them. That’s why we are so proud of the churches that work with the Eastern Michigan Food Bank to bring food boxes to those in need. These churches pay for these products out of their own pockets. Many also offer other services like providing prayer, counseling, clothing, home goods, baby items, and hygiene products. They get nothing in return except for the knowledge that they are following Jesus’ command to “love God first and then love your neighbor”. God bless those who think of others and do what they can to minister to people spirit, soul AND body.

A three day Pilgrimage renewal weekend (Thursday evening to Sunday) may fill your emptiness. The Pilgrimage is happening April 11-14 at our new site, Echo Grove Conference Center, 40 miles north of Detroit, near Leonard, Michigan. The cost is $200 (scholarships are available). The next Men’s Breakfast at the Lakeshore Presbyterian Church will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 9 AM. Pastor Kevin Totty will be our guest speaker and a free will offering will be accepted for the breakfast.
