TWO WAYS TO HELP OUT:

  1. I currently have 16 MYOI youth that need donors for the Christmas season. These youth are enrolled in the savings/banking program, attend MYOI events, are between the ages of 17-24 and have also exited out of foster care. Some of them have children, are in school/college, live independently, are working, etc. Their foster care cases are closed, so they are not eligible for the DHHS Christmas Program for foster children. If you are interested in buying gifts for a youth, please email me. I will then send you the link to the SignUp website that will show you which youth still need donors and gift ideas for each youth. These gifts are due to me by 12/13.

  1. I am also looking to gather small items that I can gift to each youth at our annual MYOI Youth Board Holiday party on December 10th. I usually collect anything a 14-24 year old would like (ear buds, new socks, new winter hats/gloves, candles, snacks/candy, books, board games, gift cards to fast food places in small amounts, blankets, hygiene supplies, cleaning supplies, drawing/coloring supplies, new boots/shoes/clothing, dvds, movie passes, hair accessories/products, wallets for boys, brand name razors/shave cream). ANYTHING you think a young person would like would be greatly appreciated! Feel free to just drop the items off at DHS (make sure to tell them the items are for Sunshine or they’ll end up going to other Christmas efforts here) or email me to come pick them up from you. I’d like to have these items together by 12/5.

Thank you,
Sunshine Ratliff
