Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! Another year with a blank slate. What are you going to do to make it your best year ever? It is a great time to reflect on what habits to let go of and new ones to develop. Here are a few things to keep in mind.

Put God first!  He has a purpose for your life, and will never leave you on your own. Read the Bible regularly, attend a life-giving church, talk to God more often, and treat others as God’s creation.

Here are a few other tips. Commit to keep learning. Take chances and don’t be bound by your fears. Be trustworthy – always keep your promises. Pursue your passion and don’t put money first. Talk less and listen more to others. Laugh often and deeply! Be grateful and let people know you appreciate them. Don’t sweat the small stuff, and don’t be so hard on yourself. When you get knocked down, get back up. Make it a point to leave the world a better place. Love God, love people!

Top Reasons to Give before the end of the year!

Paying it forward! Taking some of what you have and giving to those less fortunate is a great way to pay it forward and give back to your community.

Setting an example! Charitable giving sets a positive example for children, co-workers, family and friends.

Supporting a cause! Giving to causes you’re passionate about is a great way to be a part of the bigger picture and actively aide an organization in fulfilling their mission.

Tax deductions! When you make a charitable donation, it is tax deductible. What a win-win situation, since you are helping someone else and saving on your own personal income taxes.

Leaving a legacy! You will be building a legacy to leave behind that others will remember you for the differences you made in the lives of others through your charitable giving.
