“Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8.0

I love this scripture: “Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8.

For the last 45 years, it seems like my “default setting” has been “Here I am Lord. Send me!” Every time He asks, I say, “Yes,” and  I go. And I do it joyfully.

In Romans 10:14-15, the apostle Paul challenges believers with four straightforward questions;

“How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed?

How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard?

And how will they hear without a preacher?

How will they [the sent ones, the missionaries] preach unless they are sent?”

It’s not a rhetorical question, and we know the answer. Jesus commanded the church to go into all the world and make disciples.

But the question remains, “How will they go and preach unless they are sent?”

At the beginning of the year I set myself apart to seek God for direction. He answered and I have some exciting news regarding Rich Harvest International and our ministry among the Cabécar Nation, Costa Rica in 2024.

Steve preaches in Spanish at Cabecar church.

Pastor Marcelo translates to Cabecar.

Jesus said, “Go and make disciples…”

Our Goal: 1000 Paloma Blanca Disciples

We currently have about 460 active discipleship students participating in the Paloma Blanca Discipleship ministry. We are thrilled by the interest and success of the Cabécar disciples. In February our director, pastor Carlos, told me that God had challenged him to believe and strategize for growth to 1000 active students. I immediately bore witness with the challenge. I knew that it would take a series of miracles to grow this fast, but Jesus said,

“The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.”

Luke 18:27 NASB

We’ve embraced this scripture as our attitude and rallying cry.

Everytime I see this Cabécar disciple with his certificate of completion pressed to his heart, I'm reminded just how important, precious, and special this ministry is to the shy Cabécar people. They've embraced us and the Paloma Blanca discipleship wholeheartedly. Partner with us and send me. I will go.

I leave soon for Central America.

It's not too late to help.

We will be conducting a leader’s conference in the Cabecar Nation where we will teach, encourage, equip, and send disciples to go and make disciples of Cabécar believers. Rich Harvest International will provide meals, housing, and travel assistance for all attending. The cost of this ministry, including all conference expenses, travel and lodging, vehicle rental, plane tickets, offerings and travel expenses for workers and for ministry overhead is $7,500.00. In addition, I will spend $2,500.00 for more discipleship books and related materials for a total of  $10,000.00: My impossibility is God’s possibility.  I appreciate your prayer.

“It’s better to have a partner than go it alone. Share the work, share the wealth. And if one falls down, the other helps, but if there’s no one to help, tough!” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
