Call for Applications for STEM Enrichment Facilitators (Pod Leaders)

University of San Diego (USD) invites you to apply to join our STEMWoW team to mentor students and ignite their interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). 

An applicant must satisfy the following to be considered:
  • Be a current student in college or graduate school or a recent (within 8 years) graduate.
  • Have or be currently working on a STEM-based major or minor, be involved in STEM teaching or demonstrate STEM knowledge or expertise.
  • Have experience or demonstrated interest in working with youth from diverse social, linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Have demonstrated interest in supporting the academic and/or social development of K-12 students.

University of Utah's Summer Program for Undergraduate Research (SPUR)

The purpose of SPUR is to provide undergraduate students with an intensive 10-week research experience under the mentorship of a University of Utah faculty member. Projects are available in a variety of disciplines.  Program length is May 23 - Aug 3, 2018
 
Program Benefits:
  • $4,000 stipend (less applicable taxes)
  • On-campus housing (optional)
  • Travel reimbursement of up to $500 (if eligible)
  • Social programming
  • Professional development events
  • Publication and presentation opportunities

USD Hinman GrantsThe University of San Diego Honors Program invites all Honors Program students in their Junior or Senior year to apply for the Lawrence Hinman Honors Research Grant.

CUR Biology and Psychology Division Travel Awards The Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR)  is offering a limited number of travel grants, up to $250 each, for undergraduate students presenting original biological research results at a regional or national, discipline-specific meeting* during the fiscal year 2017 - 2018.

Deadline: Applications must be received by 5:00 pm ET January 12, 2018, for meetings held between February 16 through June 30, 2018.

Conducting Research?

Students engaged in undergraduate research/scholarship activities and creative works are eligible to become Research Scholars regardless of funding source or formal program affiliation.

Benefits:
