OUR Spotlight

A research paper by Chyna Gray, a McNair  Scholar and USD alumna, was recently accepted to Frontiers of Immunology , a leading journal in the field of immunology. Chyna is currently a Ph.D. student in the Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and Biochemistry program at Brown University.

Congratulations and great work!


Emily Mueller, a SURE Scholar and 4th year visual arts major at USD, will have her paintings on display in her exhibition entitled To Bare and Burrow. Come check out her work at the Visual Arts Center in Sacred Heart Hall!
The gallery will be open from September 25-29 from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Additionally, please join her on September 28th from 12:30 - 1:30 pm in the gallery as she presents this work.

The Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor Award (OURMA) recognizes research mentors that bring respect and excellence to the practice of mentoring undergraduates in research and scholarly activities. These individuals have a longstanding commitment to the development of research scholars.

Travel Awards
The Office of Undergraduate Research is currently accepting travel award applications for single or group travel awards. AS a reminder, the Travel Awards are on a first come first serve basis. For more information, click here.

CUR Biology and Psychology Division Travel Awards

The Biology Division of the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) is offering a limited number of travel grants, up to $250 each, for undergraduate students presenting original biological research results at a regional or national, discipline-specific meeting* during the fiscal year 2017 - 2018.


The Psychology Division of the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) is offering a limited number of travel awards (up to $200 each) for undergraduate students presenting original psychological research results at a regional or national, discipline-specific meeting.


Deadline: Applications must be received by 5:00 pm ET September 1, 2017, for meetings held between September 15, 2017, through February 15, 2018, or by 5:00 pm ET January 12, 2018, for meetings held between February 16 through June 30, 2018.

Research Scholars

Conducting Research?

Students engaged in undergraduate research/scholarship activities and creative works are eligible to become Research Scholars regardless of funding source or formal program affiliation.

Benefits:
