Education is critical to national development and any government that fails to invest a lot of its resources, energy, and time on human capital development does so at its own peril.

Oyo State government has decided to take a firm approach towards reclaiming the lost glory of the education sector as well as improving its quality to meet new and higher performance targets through the Oyo State Model Education System Interventions (OYOMESI) and other strategic initiatives.

Winning Hearts and Minds

How can OYOMESI win the Heart and Minds of our teachers, pupils and their parents? By making learning fun, OYOMESI aims to reignite the passion for learning through;

(a) The launch of Digital Literacy/Microsoft Imagine Academy, which will be carried out by the end of October 2017.

(b) OYOMESI Job Experience (OJE) Scheme for Pupils.

The Next One Year

We have much to achieve, to lay down a robust foundation for Oyo State. Already, the journey has begun in earnest and much has been achieved since the initiative was launched in May 2017. Read more...
