Don’t miss our annual Cori’s Triathlon on Saturday, September 12 starting at 8:00 am! This friendly competition promotes exercise in a fun and energetic way. Kids will show off their skills and athleticism by participating in the three traditional triathlon events: swimming, biking and running. Due to COVID-19, all events will be socially distant. Due to COVID-19, we will be practicing social distance guidelines at this year's Autumn Fest event. The event will take place from 2:00-5:00 pm. We will have social distance "circles" available for purchase at $30.00 per circle. Each circle will allow for 6 people. There will not be food and beverage sold onsite this year; all guests are encouraged to bring their own snacks and beverages. See here for more details.
Looking for a LIVE outdoor event? Look no more! Starting in the early evening at 5:00 pm and continuing into the night, this partner dri tri will test your skills and strengths while competing against others in this head to head battle. Run, bike and row your way to the finish line! Like many things in 2020, the Pink 5k will look different this year. Rather than celebrating the Pink 5k's 10th Anniversary on one day in October, we invite you to celebrate with us all month long. You will have the opportunity to complete your Pink 5k virtually on a dedicated course through Central Park and the Oak Brook Reserve or in your own neighborhood on any day in October. Youth & Adult Athletics
New to Pickleball? Sign up for Pickleball for Beginners! This clinic will teach you the basics of Pickleball and help prepare you for our open Pickleball time for intermediate/advanced players. Skills that are covered in this clinic include rules, forehand and backhand shots, court positioning, dinks, lobs, serves and footwork. Not only will you learn the game, but you'll have fun doing it too! Class is 90 minutes, with up to an hour spent on drills/instruction and the remaining time will be situational play.
Fitness

Come join us at our Family Recreation Center and Central Park West for our group fitness classes. Each class is 45-minutes and everyone will be socially distanced.

We hope to see you there but reserve your spot soon! Only 8 spots per class! Classes must be registered for individually.

Tennis

The Tennis Center is OPEN Monday-Friday from 7:00 am-10:00 pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 am-9:00 pm.

Aquatics

We thank you for your patience as we have worked through many changes due to COVID-19 throughout the spring and summer season. Fall has brought new opportunities for the Family Aquatic Center! For updates on hours of operations, programs and other offerings, please refer to our website at:


Beginning on September 1, 2020, the Family Aquatic Center will provide the following:

  • Masters Swim Team will return. 
  • STARS Swim Team will offer stroke clinics this fall through the end of the year.
  • Swim lessons will return with the following offerings:
  • Scheduled private lessons
  • Parent-Tot group lessons (on a limited trial basis)
  • Special Request private lessons
  • Fluid Running will continue to be offered on a regular schedule with drop-in opportunities as space allows.
  • Water Aerobic and Arthritis Water Therapy classes will be added to accommodate more guests.
  • Leisure pool will resume operation of the water slide during open swim slots on the weekends after Splash Island closes for the season.
Splash Island is now open on weekends only for reserved private rentals on Saturdays, and drop-in open swim reservations on Fridays and Sundays. See below for the NEW Splash Island Hours:

Monday-Thursday: Closed.
Friday: Opportunities to participate in drop-in open swim from 3:30-5:00 pm & 5:30-7:00 pm.
Saturdays: Reserved for private rentals.
Sundays: Opportunities to participate in drop-in open swim from 10:00-11:30 am, 12:00-1:30 pm, and 2:00-3:30 pm.
Pioneers

The Oak Brook Park District's Pioneer program provides all individuals 60+ with a variety of unique social and recreational opportunities including luncheons and trips. These programs are published in our seasonal brochures as well as The Pioneer Post, a publication designed specifically for our 60+ audience.
