Dear Oakies,

Welcome back! The Office of Alumnae Relations has been busy this summer preparing for our events this year. We kick off the year with our annual Homecoming Weekend September 13 and 14. Be sure to check out the list of events below and RSVP so you don't miss out.

For each event that you attend, you will be given an additional raffle ticket for the much coveted alumnae t-shirt blanket. Last year, Tara (Hill '11) Van Zoeren was the lucky recipient; will you be this year's winner?

We are looking forward to seeing you all soon! Have a relaxing and safe Labor Day weekend.

The Next Stage

Ava Quaale '21, a senior at Franciscan University was featured in the Franciscan University Magazine Summer 2024 edition. You can read about Ava's path towards becoming a theatre major here.

Oakies in Colorado

Caroline Naegele '22, Elizabeth Dunch '22, and Meghan Hadley '06 were all counselors at Camp Wojtyla in Colorado this summer. Here they are on Torreus Peak (elevation of 14,267 feet) in June.

Summer Fun

Thank you to alumnae Sophia Miller '23, Kathryn Schindler '24, Monica Beatty '24 and Erin Meehan '24 for assisting with this year's Oakcrest Summer Programs. We are also grateful for our alumnae parents who assisted with the programs this year; Marty Lerner (Alexa '21), Director of Summer Programs and Christina Friddle (Maura '19 and Jackie '22), STEM Instructor.

Keeping the Faith

Catalina Scheider Galiñanes '21, a senior at the University of Notre Dame and a News Intern with the National Catholic Register this summer, published an article "Institutes and Centers at Notre Dame Bring the Faith to Life." Catalina, an Economics and Political Science major with a minor in Constitutional Studies illustrates how she has been able to find extracurriculars to enrich her spiritual formation throughout her time in college. Final Preparation

Twin sisters, Anna and Louise Guenther '24, shared a picture of them adding the Oakcrest Alumna window sticker to their car just before heading on their cross country road trip to college. Anna enthusiastically shared that they made sure to put it on "so that everyone can see it!" All seniors receive their window stickers just before graduation. We will have window stickers available at all Homecoming Events. Be sure to pick one up and display it proudly!

Alumna parent (and current teacher), Audrey O'Neill (Christina '07) was interviewed this summer by National Catholic Register writer, Alexandra Greely for an article about Catholic Foodies.
