Emma Myers '20

At the start of her sophomore year at Susquehanna University this fall, Emma was awarded The Sigmund Weis “Freshman Prize”. The award, established in memory of Sigmund Weis, a member of the Class of 1903 and co-recipient of the award in 1900, honors a student who excels academically during their first year. Emma earned the highest grade point average for the freshman class,

thus receiving the honor.

Congratulations Emma!

Dani de Castro '20

While attending Oakcrest, Dani played both Varsity Lacrosse and Track and Field. She continues her pursuit of athletics as a member of The Catholic University Women's Rowing Team.

Go Dani!

Oakcrest Then and Now

Sixth Grade!

Oakcrest originally began as a 7th-12th grade school. In the 2003-2004 school year, Oakcrest welcomed its first class of sixth graders - the Class of 2010! Today, students who attend Oakcrest from 6th-12th grades are known as "acorns," and receive special recognition at their graduation ceremony. In the Class of 2010 there were 10 acorns!

Watch a video highlighting the Oakcrest acorn journey.
