Happy Thanksgiving, Oakies!
This issue is full of information, videos and pictures from all of the many activities that have taken place this month at Oakcrest, as well as the amazing things our alumnae have been up to recently.
Take a stroll down memory lane with the photo montage featuring Oakies through the years, watch a video on how an alumna transformed a church bus into her travelling home, read about an alumna who is now an accomplished actress, and learn some new facts about your alma mater in the “Did you Know?” and the “Then and Now” sections.
You don’t want to miss our third annual Christmas Cookie/Book Exchange on November 27 or the Young Alumnae Tea on December 16, and don’t
forget to mark your calendars for Giving Tuesday on November 30.
As always,
I look forward to seeing you at the various upcoming alumnae events.
Have a Blessed Thanksgiving!

Giorgina Agostini '15,
Awarded a Fellowship
Alumna, Giorgina Agostini ’15, is one of four women to be awarded the Women’s Congressional Policy Institute’s Women
and Public Policy Fellowship which places women with graduate degrees in congressional offices to work as legislative fellows. It is the only graduate level, women-focused program on Capitol Hill. The Women’s Congressional Policy Institute looks to work across party
lines to focus on everyday issues that affect women and to bridge the gender gap in policymaking. Giorgina says: “I am very thankful for my Oakcrest education for sharpening my critical thinking and giving me
the confidence to enter and thrive in heavily male-dominated industries.”
Congratulations, Giorgina!

Natalia Ferreiro (Celia Alexandra Besore) ‘03
As an Oakie, Natalia Ferreiro (Celia Alexandra Besore) ‘03 immersed herself in the
arts, from painting to performing in every single show produced during her six years
at Oakcrest. Today, she is an actress living and working in Los Angeles, California. Natalia describes being a full-time artist as a life that “takes grit and courage, determination, persistence.. and it’s not for the faint of heart!” Nevertheless, she has dedicated herself to that life and experienced the reward that it can bring.
Read Natalia's complete profile here.

Theatre at Oakcrest!
In the 1980s and 1990s, Oakcrest students brought amazing variety shows to the stage, offering audiences a broad swath of talent in different small acts that included singing, dancing, musical performances, and acting. In the early 2000s, the school shifted to full-length dramatic productions. Students now have the opportunity to act in both plays and musicals. Oakcrest puts on three theatre productions a year, a Middle School show in the fall, an Upper School show in the spring, and an Evening of Drama for both Middle and Upper School students in May.
