Knightly News
The Newsletter of Oakbrook Preparatory School

Welcome back!

Dear Oakbrook families,

On behalf of the teachers and staffl, it is my pleasure to welcome you back to school. We have had a great first week that began with our Opening Ceremony. Our Chapel Band and speaker Chad Deetz provided the perfect start to the 2019-2020 school year!

Throughout this week I've seen kindergartners learning about and even cracking coconuts to go along with their book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, witnessed second and fourth graders enjoying our nature trail, observed new middle schoolers celebrated their House selections, and heard our oldest students talk about their proposals for their Senior Projects.

It's been such a joy to see our students back and enjoying learning and being together! I am excited to see the many ways each student will THRIVE this year in their academics, arts, athletics, and their relationship with God!

It is our goal to send Knightly News each month with school-wide announcements and events. Please continue to look for lower school Thursday folders with classroom newsletters and weekly emails from your grade level director (lower, middle, and upper). RenWeb and our school website will also be updated regularly with announcements and special events. If you're on social media, you can follow us there as well to see fun photos and videos each week.

For those looking to get involved, we invite you to fill out a Volunteer form at

As always, please contact me with any questions you may have. I look forward to seeing you all at Back to School Night!

Many blessings,

Kyle Boyles
