August 30, 2025

Dear Oakies,

It is hard to believe that the we are at the end of August and starting another academic year at Oakcrest. I hope that you were all able to have a peaceful and relaxing summer and I, along with the Oakcrest Alumnae Association Leadership Team (OAALT), look forward to seeing you this year at the many alumnae events we have planned for you.

On September 13 at 5:00 pm, we kickoff our alumnae events with our beloved Founder's Day Mass and BBQ. This has become the cornerstone of our Homecoming celebrations, and we hope that you will be able to join us this year. A beautiful Oakcrest tradition takes place before the Mass, Oakcrest alumnae process in with roses for Our Lady reminiscent of our graduation day and serving as a powerful display for our community and current Oakies of our alumnae and their continued love for their alma mater.

The annual BBQ Dinner follows Mass with a special food line and reserved seating for our alumnae and their families. The BBQ gives you a chance to reconnect with former teachers, alumnae and friends.

From 7:00pm – 9:00pm, join us in the McGowan Family Athletic Center Lobby for a special Alumnae Cocktail Reception to not only celebrate our milestone reunion years (the Classes of 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015 and 2020), but all of our alumnae. All alumnae and their families are invited to join us. Reunion gifts for the members of the milestone classes and a special alumnae gift will be available at the reception, along with a yearbook display, photo montage video, and a photo booth to capture the moment with your classmates.

Come back home to reconnect with the spirit of Oakcrest that continues to thrive. Your presence will undoubtedly make this year’s Homecoming even more memorable. So many of you have already RSVP and we can't wait to welcome you back home!

To reserve your gifts and learn more about the schedule of events, please visit our Homecoming 2025 webpage and kindly RSVP for all of the events you (and your family members) will attend.

Warmly,

Maritere (Gramatges '91) Crum
