Oberman Tutoring Students Continue to Go Up-Up-Up on the SAT

We are proud to share that each student who met with us more than once to prepare for the SAT went up an average of 10–20 points per session with Oberman Tutoring. The pain! The agony! That’s right – nightly homework struggles with your children. I recently authored an article on the topic of parents helping their children with homework in a way that is best for children in the long run. One of the points I emphasize is that it is quite challenging to help your own children with homework. A worst possible outcome of trying to help your child with homework would be a decrease in the quality of your relationship with that child. That may mean outsourcing the homework help, even if (or particularly if) it’s a subject in which you are an expert.

I’m Dr. Paul Oberman. I have worked in education for 34 years as a teacher, principal, and head of school, and I have a PhD in educational psychology. Those experiences shape my teaching philosophy:

• All students can learn (and can learn math!), and learning should be fun.
