Why did you join the Chamber?
I have seen so many wonderful things that our Obion County Chamber does for its members and I want to be a part of them.  We are very fortunate in Obion County to have a Chamber that truly wants to see its members succeed.
Example: I really wanted to be a part of something that is so energetically involved in all the small businesses of Obion County and genuinely want to lend a hand in helping those businesses grow. I also really like the programs the Chamber offers.  They are informative and quite helpful.

Why do you serve on the Board of Directors?
I am grateful to have been asked to serve as a board member for the Chamber.  I am passionate about helping others grow and succeed both personally and professionally. We have many great things going on here in our county and I am excited to be a part of them.
Example: Serving on the Board of Directors allows me to give small business a voice when decisions on what direction the chamber will take come up.

What is the Chamber's role in the business community?
We are very well represented by our Chamber.  The Chamber helps to unify the different businesses and companies in our county.  It acts as a common ground for networking and showcasing our county and its businesses in order to help with growth of the community.
Example: Assisting new, old, small or large businesses succeed and grow while allowing businesses to network with each other to increase business.

Chamber Ambassador Spotlight

Ambassador Name:   Rebecca Harris
Company Name: union City Insurance partners, LLC
Position:  Agency Manager
Work Phone: 731-885-5484

Areas of Expertise:  I have worked in the Insurance Industry since 2006.  Before I began my career in Insurance, I worked at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center (DRMC), first as an ER Registration Clerk, then as a Financial Counselor for the Business Office, and then worked as Manager of a Physician's office contracted with DRMC.  I am currently Agency Manager at Union City Insurance Partners, LLC., and am licensed to sell insurance in each of the following categories: Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Property and Casualty Insurance and am certified in Long-Term Care.  I feel like getting to learn every aspect of the business really allowed me to value the importance of taking care of my customers and making their best interest my priority.

Other Interests: I enjoy spending time with my husband Shane and our three children: Cole, Grant, and Lynlee who are 14, 10, and 7 and keep us more than busy.  I am also very involved in with my Church Family where I serve as an Elementary Bible School Teacher and enjoy singing.  If time ever permits, I love to work outside and garden any chance I get.

Why did you join the Chamber?  After moving from Union City to Dyersburg at a very young age, I have enjoyed coming back to Union City as an adult in the workforce.  Years ago my mother, Sonya Burks, started her Banking Career at Old and Third Bank, and my father, Randy Hepler, was President and CEO of OSA Crop Marketing.  I have truly been welcomed by the people in this town who have known my family and watched me grow up over the years, and I am proud to be back in Union City and involved in the community.

Why do you serve as an Ambassador?  The Bible teaches us in 1 Peter 4:10 that each of us has received a gift, and to use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.  I am proud to be a part of this community and to serve fellow members.

What is the Chamber's role in the business community? It has been my experience since joining Union City Insurance Partners, LLC., that the Chamber has truly helped our Agency and team members to grow by providing a forum for "networking" and introducing us to new opportunities.

Ambassador Name: Cody Martin
Company Name: EdmaistonMosley Funeral Home
Position: Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer
Work Phone: 7318851033

Areas of Expertise: In the funeral industry we are expected to do an array of jobs. I specialize in the preparations of family's loved ones, which includes, the embalming process, dressing and casketing, and
cosmetic work. I also meet with families during the arrangement process, help conduct their ceremonies, and I'm also here to help counsel them through their tough times of need.

Other Interests: love spending time with my wife Ashley and my one year old daughter Ryleigh. I enjoy anything outdoors; golf, fishing, hunting, and working in the yard to name a few. I also strive and have a passion to be involved in our community and very much enjoy attending worship services at the First United Methodist Church of Union City.

Why did you join the Chamber? We saw that being a part of the local chamber would be a great asset and resource for us to serve the families of this area. We also believe that being a part of the Chamber is another way we can contribute to our community.

Why do you serve as an Ambassador? When my family and I first moved to obion county, I set out to become involved and offer my time and contribution to the people and small businesses in the area.
Being an ambassador isn't just a fun time but its also a perfect opportunity for us to volunteer our time and contribute ourselves during local events and business functions.

What is the Chamber's role in the business community? I have found that our local chamber offers a multitude of opportunities and resources to make each business in the area the best they can be. The chamber offers very informative sessions about various businesses and expertise in our area. They also create a great networking opportunity for everyone to be a part of. I have always believed that competition is a great thing and if we all work together and share ideas with each other we can offer the best services and products our great community deserves.

August Small Business Spotlight:
Edmaiston and Mosley

Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is a family owned and operated business located in Union City, Tennessee.  Our funeral home first opened in 2006 as Dilday Funeral Home, and in 2009 Allen Edmaiston and Mark Mosley purchased the funeral home, changing the name to Edmaiston-Mosley. Mark and Allen have over fifty years of combined experience in the funeral industry and have surrounded themselves with quality staff members, all of which take pride in serving our families with the utmost care and compassion.  For ten years now we have proudly served the families of Obion County and the surrounding areas and look forward to many more years to come.
Our funeral home offers an array of services, many of which most people don't realize a funeral home offers.  One of our services is preneed or prearranged funerals.  This service is offered for anyone at any age who wishes to have their arrangements complete so that other family members, in their time of grief, don't have to worry about making arrangements or making the tough decisions on merchandise. We offer plans with a monthly premium or you can also pay for the full funeral at one time. We also accept and will transfer a pr-existing plan from another funeral home.
We offer many funeral options as well, including: Traditional services, which includes the use of our beautiful state of the art chapel, family rooms with a relaxed atmosphere, a children's room with tv and toys, and a nice size lounge for families to bring food and socialize.  With a traditional service, one can choose from our excellent choice of Mathews-Aurora Casket Company and we offer steel and concrete vaults as well.  Our families also enjoy our technology by choosing a DVD slideshow of pictures and we also can live-stream our funeral ceremonies for those who can not make it for the services.  We can also hold your services at any church or facility outside of the funeral home.  Cremation is also an option at Edmaiston-Mosley. With cremation you can also have services that range from using our solid oak rental casket to our beautiful selection of urns.  Memorial services can also be an option. Our funeral home will even handle arrangements for your animal love ones.  If you're in need of a monument, we can help you with that as well.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home strives to help out anyone in our community in anyway possible.  If you know someone who needs assistance that has cancer or any other life threatening disease we can get you in contact with the right people.  Just simply come by and talk to us and we will see what we can do to assist.  We are active and are sponsors with the Hometown Walk of Hope organization which helps raise funds for cancer awareness in our area.
There are times that you simply just need to talk to someone about the grief your experiencing or you may even have some religious needs.  We are always here for you in your time of need, whatever the situation may be.
We would all here at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home like to thank the great people of our community and other local businesses for supporting us and we hope to be of service to each of you for many decades to come.

Congratulations to the newest workforce living complex in Union City! These beautiful apartments are accompanied by a pool, club house, work out facilities, and more!! The complex is named after him for his strong legacy of hard work and determination; Ware Park. There are still apartments available. For more information please call (731) 630-4466 or visit Ware Park at
