Tribute to:
Ocean Pines Pickleball Player
Janis Green
OP Pickleball Player Janis Green and her husband Roland have sold their OP home and are moving back to Edgewater, MD to be with family. Janis has been a fixture on the indoor and outdoor Pickleball courts for many years. But Janis is much more than a fixture....she is a unique, giving, loving, caring, smiling individual, who will be sorely missed here in Ocean Pines.

Today, we honor Janis with a few fun pictures and with the following quotes from some of her OP pickleball buddies:

"Janis is like a beam of sunshine....her joyful outlook has been an inspiration to all of us"

Janis & Roland, with Carol volunteering at OP Pickleball Summer Classic 2018
"Janis will be missed by all! She is such an upbeat, outgoing and friendly person. We hope she comes back to visit and play pickleball in the future!"

"Janis is enthusiastic and has that 'joie de vivre' that exudes positive energy making her a happy person to be around. Roland and Janis are the most welcoming and helpful people we know. "

"Always a shining light!!"
Janis (pictured with Glenda) headed up the Pickleball wine & cheese tree decorating party, 2017 & 2018
"Janis always takes that extra minute to make me feel welcomed and included. I will miss seeing her at the PB events."

"Kind, caring, friendly, energetic - always fun to play PB with. Throws great parties and Roland is a real gem. She will be missed by many. Best wishes as you are off to new adventures! "

"Janis is a bundle of energy who is always there to support or help if you need it...she will be missed."

"Janis' favorite words: I was NOT in the kitchen! "

"Janis is a caring person with a big heart. Her smile and great attitude will be missed."

"Janis is the epitome of the Ever Ready Bunny....ALWAYS on the go."

"Janis always greets you with a welcome smile and some kind words."

LevelUp Pickleball Camp in Ocean Pines got off to a slow start this past Friday, as Tropical Storm Fay hit the area in the early mornng hours, and dropped 5 inches of rain, with wind gusts over 40 mph. But by Friday afternoon the Camp was in full swing as the clouds moved on, the sun came out, and volunteers used squeegees to clear the puddles.
