Cornwall Public Library Newsletter - July 2022
From the Director's Desk...
Since my first July at CPL, I have worked on decorating the float and riding it in the Fourth of July parade every year. Well, almost every year. There were a couple that I had other obligations to attend to and could not participate. Weddings are lovely, and family get-togethers are fun, but they are not at all the Fourth of July in Cornwall! There is nothing quite like spending the Fourth of July in Cornwall. There are so many things to do. My family and I always have a great day: eating, playing games, looking at children's art, shopping at the vendors by the town hall.  One year there was a bingo game; if you went to the shops on Main Street, you got a stamp on your bingo card, and if you got a line filled you were entered in a drawing. My daughter won that drawing! Her father got a free haircut at the then-new barber in town, and she got a free haircut and styling at a salon. She still goes to that salon! My point is that there is so much to do on the Fourth of July in town that I am sure you will find something that makes you smile. Come see the library in the parade, and wave at me! That'll at least put a smile on my face.
Hope to see you there!

Oh, and when the day is over don't despair, the library will have tons of things for you to do!
