The Parksville & District Chamber of Commerce represents 460 businesses and associations. As an organization focused on creating the best environment for business to be successful through advocacy, we often address government policy on issues ranging from housing and transportation to development regulation.
We have been asked most recently by a number of our members to provide a position on the most recent Public Health Order and in particular where we stand on the Vaccine Passport.
In order to get a sense of what our members were saying about this issue we recently polled our membership to determine where the business community stood.
The poll was completed by 107 business owners/operators and the result was split 48% in favor of a Vaccine Passport and 41% opposed to a Vaccine Passport with 1% uncertain.
This is an inconclusive result and therefore the Chamber is unable to take a firm position.
The Chamber will continue to comply with the Public Health Orders as we have for the past 18 months.
