Message from President Sara Beacham
|
|
Greetings!
It’s raining, a lot! Rain brings the good and the bad. We really need the rain, but with all the recent fire activity, there are dangerous possibilities for flooding and mud slides in burn scars. Keep those affected by the recent fires in your thoughts throughout these storms.
There is no meeting this Wednesday, and many committees meet this week. Be sure to attend your committee meetings to find out how you can serve our club and community. Speaking of committees, there are two ad hoc committees forming right now - Dream It, Be It and President’s Project. The DIBI committee met last Friday at La Comida with SI Bidwell Rancho. Plans are moving forward for the one-day Dream It, Be It conference to be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Chico Women’s Club. If you are interested in joining this planning committee, our next meeting is Friday, December 10 at 12:00 noon at La Comida.
Reach out to me if you are interested in helping with my President’s Project. I am looking for a keynote speaker and a few panelists to tell their story. I want to get strong, female leaders who have stories that are compelling, uplifting, and inspiring.
Enjoy the rest of your week and have a safe, happy Halloween!
President Sara

CHRISTMAS IN NOVEMBER
WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 17, 2021
PERFECT TIME TO SHOP FOR GIFTS
We are looking for wonderful donations from you, our members, to make this a successful event.
We do need some special items, experiences or services to be part of our Live auction (minimum value $100.00).
Please consider putting together a group of things in a basket, cute box, or perhaps use a base item such as a platter or large bowl and then add additional small things that are part of a similar theme, all wrapped in cellophane, with a festive bow.
If you can offer a gift of an experience or service, that would be most welcome.
TIMELINE
BY NOV 10: Please bring your item to club or request that we pick it up from your location.

Hands on Project Girls on the Run 5K Run
Date of event: Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021
Time: 7:15 am to 11 am
Location: Lower Bidwell Park
Ladies!
Spend a few hours in our beautiful park, cheering on the Girls on the Run participants as they run their celebration 5K. Our club is a longtime supporter of this program and this is our day to show up for them. They need course monitors (cheering on the sidelines and watching out for the girls safety) and also some areas of assistance. Click on the sign up genius. I guarantee, you'll get more than you give by helping out with this one.
Thank-you!
