NEW this week: Committee Meetings, After Hours with Kathy Erickson, Salvation Army Bell Ringers, Bistro Bag Fundraiser, Happy Dollars
Message from President
Billie Araiza
Greetings!

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Zoom Wednesday for our club meeting to learn more about our Bistro Bag Fundraiser. My mouth was watering just looking at the pictures. How lucky are we to have such a phenomenal Chef in our club? Thank you to Lupe and Chef Leon for their presentation about the Bistro Bag fundraiser. There is a limited number of bags available so get your orders in early.

Many of you know I have been patiently waiting for my first grandbaby to arrive. My daughter was in labor during our club meeting Wednesday. I am happy to announce the arrival of my beautiful granddaughter. After two days of labor, they ended up having to do a C-section. The following day, my daughter received two blood transfusions due to internal bleeding. Thankfully, both mom and baby are now doing well. I’m so excited to have my first grandbaby! She even has red hair and blue eyes. My heart is so full of love and gratitude!

Thank you to Linda Allen for hosting our first after hours for the new club year and thank you to all those who joined us on Zoom to learn about ways to stay healthy. This is more important now than at any other time due to the pandemic. I hope all of you are staying well and healthy. I miss seeing everyone!

With Gratitude,

President Billie
For many years Soroptimists have been helping the Salvation as volunteer bell ringers. You can make a difference with every ring this year. The funds you raise as a Salvation Army Bell Ringer will make a year-round impact in our community through social services assistance, homeless shelters, disaster relief, children's programs, rehabilitation services, anti-human trafficking, and more!

During this year with the pandemic in full force there is a greater need for the Salvation Army. Bring a friend or significant other to ring the bell with you if you wish. If you are concerned about your health you need not volunteer. But if you feel healthy to volunteer there is a required video you can watch for safely ringing the bell. See below:

This is the info regarding Covid-19 during bell ringing. It may help with people who are hesitant to ring during the pandemic.
